Danielle Slammon – Tutor/Director

I started my journey to becoming a Counsellor in 2008, when I met a friends Mother who had lost her Son to cancer a few years before. I stood in front of her feeling her grief and pain while not knowing what to say. This was a lightbulb moment in my life. I knew that this was my vocation and I enrolled at a local adult education centre on a 6-week introduction to counselling skills course. I never looked back. I went on to complete level 2 and 3 counselling courses with NCFE, and then qualified completing level 5 diploma in therapeutic counselling at Wolverhampton College. I have worked in private practice throughout and have undertaken over 1000 client hours – both individual and couples counselling. I started tutoring for Synergie Counselling, and then moved on to set up my own centre delivering counselling courses. I am passionate about all areas of my work and my aim is to ensure all of our learners have an outstanding experience. I feel privileged to be able to accompany learners throughout their training. Starting at level 2, right through to becoming qualified counsellors at the end of level 4.
